ZMS supports exercise preparation and controller-led wargaming through scenario phases, timed injects and participant-response journals. Controllers can use physical results and mission-observation records to define injects, operational constraints and course-of-action comparisons.
Decision records freeze at specified exercise gates, preserving earlier commitments through replay. Retained decisions and controller-response context support after-action review, while engineering views keep physical quantities, units, source states and numerical checks available for technical assessment.
COMPOSITION / PERFORMANCE
Mathematical closure under coupling.
We leverage a Discrete Event System Specification (DEVS) engine to compose models and coordinate event exchange and simulation time. Closure under coupling allows a conforming coupled model to be represented as an atomic DEVS model and reused in a larger hierarchy.
Defined interfaces connect that model hierarchy to physical models, simulators and external participants. We assess synchronization, latency and scale on the event’s hardware and networks against its test or training objectives.
